From the start of my volleyball career in fourth grade, I have aspired to use the sport as a foundation for the rest of my life. By way of working hard and learning to collaborate, volleyball has provided life lessons that repeatedly promote my passion for the sport. My collegiate goals include allowing myself to master being able to balance both education and sports. In addition, I am aiming to increase my level of play by working with great coaches and players, who share the same goals of teamwork and improvement in this sport. I aspire to train my hardest, so I can have fun playing the game I love.
On and off the court, my positive attitude is very evident. When asked who the loudest player on the court is, many players on my high school and club will respond with me. Communication is by far one of the most important factors of playing volleyball. It motivates players, increases the level of play, and overall, makes playing so much more fun!
Being a good team player on and off the court has always been an important part of how I act every day. My parents always told me that being kind goes a long way; that is the phrase I live by. Along with my positive attitude, friends and peers always tell me that I promote a positive environment for collaboration and social interaction. Athletics has always been a huge part of my life. From gymnastics, to diving and soccer, and now, volleyball, I have always made it a point to participate in athletics. Athletics have consistently been a type of therapy for me. For example, athletics allow me to release stress in a fun way, and help me to develop new friendships with team mates who share the same enthusiasm for sports. Lastly, academics continually take first priority over everything. My parents took into account to send me to a private school where I find myself striving in rigorous courses. Furthermore, I observe that I am above grade level, taking all honors classes, and receiving straight A's. Learning has always been fun for me, and I am forever eager to learn more.
