Stephanie Napierk...Personal Statement
I play for Husky 18 Grand Central club volleyball. Our team came in 1st place Silver Division at the 18's Qualifier, and 3rd place Bronze at the Capital Hill Classic. I was a starter as Middle Hitter on the Lyman Hall Varsity Volleyball Team. I played some Varsity as a freshman, was a Varsity player as a sophomore, and a Varsity starter as a junior and senior. We had a winning season this past year and went to the SCC and State Tournaments. For the past 3 summers, I played summer league at. CT Juniors I played on the State program for the CT Juniors and in 2011, our team won the Bronze award in our tournament. Last winter, I was a member of the Husky Elite HP 17 Northeast team and won 2 medals in tournaments from March until May. This season, I will be on the Husky Juniors HP 18 National Team. My goal is to work hard to be able to play Middle and Right side and be able to contribute in the back row.
I like to be competitive and hope to find a team that is competitive where I can become better and help the team be competitive, too. Academics are also important to me, and I am working hard to maintain a high GPA while participating in sports and working part-time. I want to play volleyball, as either a MH or Right Side and perhaps softball at college.
