Personal Statement
My name is Melissa Ascencao. I am a Senior at Naugatuck High School. I am Captain for my senior year. I love the game of volleyball and especially just love being apart of a team. I am a very coachable player, i always try to improve right on the spot. I improve myself everyday even after the season has been long and over with by participating in a Sports Center Clinc in Woodbury, CT. I am usually playing volleyball 10/12 months of the year.
I am looking to major in the medical/health field(s).

- This was a school event to raise money for cancer. I have participated in the 2011 and 2010 tournaments.

- This was new ! Central ct state university did a camp for high school students and I participated in it. I learn new ways and also at a higher playing level.
- Staples High School Jamboree
- 2 years
- This jamboree happens usually right after try outs. It is an all day event. It consist of around 6 35 minute games. The teams we play are all out of our league (NVL) but it is a good warm up of games that are taller, and are division or two about us!
