Ever since I started playing volleyball as a freshmen, I knew that I wanted to take the game further than high school. My passion for the game helped me to develop leadership skills as I strove to push myself and my teammates towards being our best selves. As a sophomore I stepped up to the challenge when I filled in for a senior in the starting rotation late in the season. Junior year I started out playing all three spots in the front row as well as serving. However by senior year I was playing just outside hitter and became a key proponent in the back row. I was named captain as a senior and earned All-Iron. Volleyball has become such an important part of my life that I could not imagine not playing at a competitive level. I hope that college volleyball can help me to grow as a player and prepare me for coaching later in life.
