Caryn Sibiskie '14 Recruiting Profile

On the court, I am very explosive with my speed and very quick. I will make sure that I work harder than anyone else on the court. One of my strongest points is blocking and the other is hitting. I like being able to run a quicker offense and being able to stop the other team with a block. I am able to hold a block on my own and close a double or triple block.  I am very enthusiastic on the court. I have always tried to be a role model to the players who are younger than me, which makes me a leader on the court. Since I started playing sports, I always strived to be the best.

I first started playing volleyball by as an intramural sport in middle school, but there was little to no competition and I wanted to know more about the game than the basics. I decided to play for the high school team as a freshman, which has been the best decision I have ever made. That year our team reached the State Semi-finals for the first time. I realized that I would have to work for all my goals that I wanted to accomplish during my career as a volleyball player. That is the reason I started playing club. I have played club for 3 years, one for Connecticut Juniors and two for Husky Juniors. I also played AAU and trained with CTVA.
