About Me:
I have loved playing volleyball since I was first introduced to it at the YMCA when I was 10 years old. Once I started playing then, I have not stopped since. Playing at school and in club, and in both California and Colorado.Being a left handed setter and RS/DS, I enjoy the aspects of my talents that can assist my team. I not only have passion for playing, but I have passion for the competition, the game, the teamwork, my team mates and the win. My goal is to play at the next level, in the college arena, and I am working to best meet my goals on a daily basis. I have always had the incredible support of my parents, and they always remind me of how important hard work, determination and effort are in making your goals a reality.
I am a left-handed setter and RS/DS. When I first started playing club volleyball, I realized how much I loved the team aspects of volleyball and worked hard to be the best team player I could. I have spent every summer since 8th grade attending volleyball summer training camps to remain active in the game and enhance my skill. I have recently sought the help of a professional setting coach, and continue to push myself. I have played on many teams, established great friendships and have learned a great deal about the rules of the game, the importance of teamwork and consistency and above all the hard work it takes to succeed. I bring this determination, dedication and drive to the next level.
In addition to wanting to play college, and hopefully coach volleyball in the future, I also plan on majoring in Elementary Education to become a teacher. Both of my parents are in education, (my father received his doctorate in Educational Administration and after 27 years as an Administrator is a Director at the Colorado Department of Education. My mother, a former teacher, is working on her doctorate in Education Administration and is currently a Vice Principal) and have raised me knowing how important education is- in both obtaining it and working within it.
Since I was a young, I have always known I wanted to work with children, especially special needs children. I have grown up at my parents schools, helping in classrooms, running festivals and tutoring students. I have a patient and caring nature and want to give back to the world, by teaching and coaching. It is important for me to attend a college or university that has a strong education program so I am able to obtain my masters in education as well as my teaching credential.
I have been very fortunate to have played volleyball and know I have gotten better as a player and competitor. I am focused, driven, relish in competition and want to succeed. I really am driven to work hard and continually improve. I want to play at the next level and will do all that it takes to get there.

There are many things that make me unique and special. I bring my love for volleyball to the court everytime I play. I consider every practice and drill a potential for me to improve and help my team mates improve as well. I am a team player and know how important it is for a team to bond so they gel on the court. I would love to also coach volleyball in the future- so I can be involved in volleyball for a lifetime.
