Caitlin Volkmann '20 Recruiting Profile

Recently, I have been wanting to start reaching out to play a college sport. I play both volleyball and basketball for my high school as well as club.

I have only played volleyball for 2 years but am very passionate about it. I started on a varsity state qualifying team my first year of high school and was told I could play at the top levels, if I continue learning. I am aiming to play in the highest division possible that makes me push myself to be the best I can be.

As a leader (captain) for my club team I always try to encourage everyone to be the best we can be on and off the court. I always have a positive attitude and am never ready to give up on any game we play.

I am a strong blocker in the middle and smart when hitting around a block on the outside. In the back row I am quick on my feet and react fast. I can be coached very easily and am always willing to try new techniques to help my strength.

In addition to volleyball, I have played basketball for 8 years and am now playing on the Colorado Premier NIKE sponsored club and started at guard for my varsity high school team as a freshman.

My goal for college is to go somewhere that is passionate about volleyball and would push me to my best. I not only want to succeed athletically, but academically as well. I am a good student who receives a high GPA (4.1) and a fast learner. I am always open to talking and can't wait to see how much I can grow.
