Morgan Lawson '15 Recruiting Profile

I am a dedicated and passionate player, whether it is on a court or in the sand. I enjoy learning new skills and never get tired of repetition when trying to master them. Feedback from my coaches is very important and every comment, positive or negative, is taken as a learning experience. Leadership is something that I work on as well as being the best team player that I can be. I like to lead by example and therefore try to stay focused and positive for myself and for my teammates.  

The level of perfection and commitment that I try to achieve in the sport of volleyball makes me a very valuable player to any team. Volleyball comes first and foremost, second only to academics. Social life, friends, gatherings, or just "hanging out," never come before my craft. If there is practice, I will be the first one there and the last one to leave. If there is an opportunity to play with other teams, just to get more time on the court, I do it happily and wholeheartedly. Coaches and teammates find me open, ready, and one hundred percent coachable.

I am not afraid of new people, new challenges, or new opportunities. In fact, I am the opposite of that. My long time goal, for this sport that I love, is to be an Olympian and to be an example to other athletes of overcoming obstacles.
