Hello;
My name is Caitlinn Williams, and I'm a 19-year old college Sophmore, attending Grossmont College. Despite my size, I have been blessed with tremendous leaping ability (can touch nearly 10 feet). I'm majoring in Biology, and have a GPA that fluctuates between 3.5 and 4.0. I will complete my studies (with an AA Degree) in 2016, and plan to transfer to a 4-year university.
I have a great passion for the game of volleyball, and I would like to continue merging this passion together with my academic plans. So, I hope to use volleyball (via full or partial scholarship) as a means of funding part of my educational aspirations.
I first touched a volleyball in 2010 at the club level. During the 2011-2012 club season, I was moved up to play on the 16-age group National Team (primarily as a Middle Hitter/Blocker).
Later, during the 2012 High School season, I was originally placed on the Junior Varsity squad (as a MH) - because there were not enough positions available as the spots in my position were reserve for graduating seniors. However, I finished the season as a Varsity player during league play-offs.
During the 2013/2014 club season, my improved athletic skills, hustle, quickness, and leaping/jumping ability helped me to be selected as a Pin Player (primarily as an OH, OPP, MH, and filled in as a DS when necessary).
In the 2014/2015, my college volleyball career began with Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), and I continue to work to improve my volleyball skills - I have become pretty good playing in the backrow when necessary.
Unfortunately, I had to make the decision to leave TAMIU at the end of the 2015 season, primarily because my coach was removed from his position. Luckily, I was able to gain a spot on the Grossmont College roster, where I'm currently playing as an OH and OPP.
Please take the time to check back periodically to view any updates.
Sincerely,
Caitlinn Williams - Winchester, CA (currently residing in El Cajon, CA) - parents phone: 210-965-2957
