AMBER (definition): Ready, willing and able - for high school, college, the court and beyond! I WILL succeed academically - my family encourages and supports this number one goal. I am a force to be reckoned with, athletically - my mental game matches my physical game, always. Sportsmanship and coachable? - it's a total package with me. I've played travel/club volleyball for 5 years now and am finally in 8th grade. I've "played up" for several years now (power league), just turned 14 years old and play on a 16u power team. I've been nicknamed "baby" by the team and coaches (due to being the youngest and only non-high school player on my team); yet, alongside our high school junior Setter, I'm a team leader on the court. I'm also a "skill player" - I play front row (outside hitter) as well as back row (I never leave the court - my offensive skills match those of my defensive skills). In other words, my coaches have faith in and rely on my mental AND physical game. I'm very blessed and humbled by this - there's NO better feeling than being able to contribute to my team in ANY and ALL ways that I am able to. To me, TEAM = FAMILY.
