Jaimie Mayner '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jaimie Mayner and I am 6'1" middle blocker/right side hitter from Santa Barbara, CA. Though I am relatively new to volleyball as this is my third year playing, I adapted to the sport quickly and have 3 years club experience and started on varsity for 2 years. This year I was named MVP for my high school and made the 2nd All County Team (1AA). I have a GPA of 4.67 and am ranked 3/453. I also was a varsity attorney on my school's Mock Trial team, which placed 5th in the 2011 CA State Championships. This year I was Junior Class President. I am most interested in schools that would challenge me academically and that include vast research opportunities. Though I have no definite career in mind, I am looking for a school that offers majors that are health related. I love living in California, but could also see myself in any state or region, especially the east coast. I want to play volleyball in college because I feel that playing on a team competitively brings balance to my life and I love the sport immensely. I am open to all levels of play and want to make a difference wherever I go!
