Throughout my adolescence, I have gained external knowledge and life experience that sets me apart from other athletes. While some may view these life experiences as setbacks, I have done my best to utilize these situations in order to gain insight and examine myself as a teen, athlete, and young adult. My amount of experience with day-to-day adult situations combined with my myriad of student leadership positions has allowed me to learn how to combat these difficult situations in the future. However I have had many positive life experiences as well. In 2013, I was named Miss Taiwan Queen. This made me the youngest Miss Taiwan finalist in the pageant's history, as well as the youngest queen. From this I have learned confidence in my decisions, my physical appearance, and most importantly myself. I believe that this confidence translates directly to the court, and will help me in this upcoming season. My knowledge of time management will also set me apart from other perspective student athletes. For the past two years, I have been taking 8 or more units at my local community college. From this, I have learned to manage my high school career, my college courses, and all of my extraneous extra curricular activities. With this in mind, I believe I would make a great candidate for any college volleyball program.
