My name is Angelina Reyes Chavez (Angelina Chavez). I am a freshman in high school and am very excited to continue my educational journey. My high school years will prepare and form me to enter college as a well rounded responsible young adult.
I am extremely proud to be a part of the Quartz Hill High School family. As a student it is my job to be responsible for my work, words and actions, which is why I am honored to be involved in the ASB (associative student body) program. Being in ASB means being very involved in school functions and putting in extra hours before and after school. On top of ASB I also made it onto the girls volleyball team and I hope to continue to do so for my remaining hs years as well as playing club volleyball in the off season. I am also hoping to make it onto the swim team this spring season. Managing my time has been something I have learned over time and have learned to do it well. I have learned how to prioritize and figure out what works best for me. I am very involved with extra curricular activities all while maintaining a 4.0 gpa.
The Quartz Hill High School Girls Volleyball team is the hardest team in the Antelope Valley to get on. I am an extremely hard worker who is willing to learn and get better. The team as a whole is my main priority and I work very well with all types of personalities. I was given the award this past season for being able to get along with all of my teammates and stay out of whatever drama may be happening at the time. I may not have the most experience but I do have the passion and will power to grow and help the team any way I can.
