Nicole Desrochers '15 Recruiting Profile

I am honored and excited to have been selected as a setter for 2013 USA Youth A1 National team.  I'm proud to say we took home a silver medal at the USAV High Performance Championships in Fort Lauderdale last July.  I set an up-tempo 5-1 for Rage VBC.  This season my team, Rage 16-1, went undefeated at Junior Nationals, earning the 16 American Division National Championship.  Last season we finished 14th in the 15 Open Division at Junior Nationals.

I am very enthusiastic about volleyball and I am a solid all around player.  In the past, I've had the opportunity to play outside and right side hitter, as well as DS. This has given me a better understanding of court dynamics.  I try my hardest to lead by example both on and off the court.  My club coach calls me "a student of the game."  I listen to my coaches and adapt well to any team/game situation.  I never leave anything less than 100% on the court for practices and games.  My goal is to find a home in a NCAA volleyball program at a school that offers a wide range of academic options, where I can learn from new coaches and teammates, and be a solid contributor.
