Emily Valladares '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Emily. I play Libero and Defensive Specialist for James Monroe High School in North Hills CA. I have been playing volleyball for 3 years now. I transitioned from being a cheerleader because I wanted to do something more competitive. I tried out for the High School Volleyball team that year and made the Frosh/Soph team. During my junior year I was able to play club for Supernova All-Stars in Studio City CA. I learned a lot from that experience mostly how to deal with an expanded schedule. My brother Hansen sent me to the Mick Haley Volleyball camp at USC and I learned a lot at their Defensive Specialist training day. Currently I am on the Varsity team at James Monroe and am waiting for my club season to begin, later this year, with Supernova All-Stars (17 Red) Los Angeles.
