When I was 12 I transferred schools and my mom wanted me to get to know people so she forced me to enroll in a sport. At first I hated volleyball, it made my feet, my legs, my arms hurt. I actually cried after the first practice. Over time I discovered I was actually kind of okay at it and fell in love. Every second of every practice, game, workout, etc. I strive for perfection. It is pertinent to note that perfection is an unattainable goal, but to me it is a means to an end. Perfection is the highest form of greatness and I don't want to be 'okay' at volleyball I want to be great. I want people to look at me and say 'wow, I wanna be like her.' So every time I block or I kill or I end the point for my team, I will acknowledge it, but I will find a way to be better. A way to be perfect. A way to be great.
