Caitlin Hartman '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Caitlin Hartman and I am currently a freshman at Monterey High School in Monterey, California. I am in a college preparatory program at Monterey High called MAOS, Monterey Academy of Oceanographic Sciences, with a weighted GPA of 4.2. I am also in leadership and plan on continuing in leadership for the remainder of high school.

Over the last three years I have played for 3 different schools. Although the transitions were sometimes difficult, the experience has given me the tools to find how I fit in on a new team, discover my strengths and weaknesses both on and off the court, and learn from a variety of coaches, each with their own coaching styles.  I have been a starter on each of these teams, and am currently my JV team captain. A highlight of volleyball for me so far, was during my first club season on the 13’s premier team.  We entered the tournament in 32^nd place, and finished 2nd out of 55 teams in Regional Championships, beating out many of the 14’s teams.  This November I will be trying out for my clubs 15’s power team as a libero. I feel I would be an asset to a college team because I possess leadership skills, and I am confident in my ability to be both a successful student and a talented player.
