Lauren Miller '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Lauren Miller I am currently a senior at Millikan High School in Long Beach, CA.  I’ve attended Millikan High School since I was a freshman in the 9th grade.  I was a starter on Junior Varsity as a freshman and then moved up to Varsity my sophomore year where I was also a starter. I am team Captain for my high school team and I am a very competitive and a focused player.  My team can always count on me for anything. Currently, I am playing in my 6th year of Club Volleyball with one of the most competitive clubs in Southern California, Mizuno Volleyball Club.  I have played as a libero for one year and an outside hitter for 5 yrs.  My club team has always been one of the top teams in Southern California.  We just recently played in the Junior Olympics in Dallas Texas and placed 11th.

My dream is to play competitive volleyball at the collegiate level and I am willing to explore opportunities at all levels.  I would like to belong to an energetic, cohesive volleyball program where I would be pushed to excel athletically, academically, personally and where I can help make my team more successful. My goal is for volleyball to allow me the opportunity to obtain a well-rounded education at a University in the United States where I would like to major in Biology, Kinesiology or sports medicine.
