Division I California State Champions!!

It feels so good to type those words after all of the work we put in this Fall on our Varsity Girls Volleyball Team for Edison High School in Huntington Beach, CA. What a fantastic season!! As a 6' 2" starting Sophomore Middle Hitter, I got to experience so many great times on our way to a 36 - 8 overall record with a league record of 9-1. We finished ranked #7 in the State of California as well as #23 Nationally.

I can’t imagine life without volleyball! I have always been extremely active in sports. Since the age of 4 years old I have been involved in competitive swimming, soccer, softball, dance, beach volleyball and indoor volleyball. However, for the last few years, and now as a 6’ 2" tall sophomore in high school, the sport I give 110% to is volleyball. It is my dream to continue playing volleyball in college. I work toward that goal each and every day.

During last years club volleyball season I played on a very competitive club volleyball team here in southern California - Club H of Huntington Beach. Out of the approximate 250 club teams in my age division in the Southern California Volleyball Association (SCVA), our team is continually ranked in the Top 25. 

While very busy with volleyball as noted above, I find my Christian faith and academics equally, if not more, important. I am active in my local church and have always been a straight A student. I currently carry a 4.2 grade point average in high school. I am driven to be a top student. I plan on continuing this level of excellence in academics and volleyball throughout my high school career so I can fulfill my goal of being a student/athlete in college.

I am extremely positive, hardworking, coachable and a leader. I believe it is my role on a team to motivate myself and teammates to put forth the effort that will result in us being the best we can be. I would love to hear about any opportunities that your college may have in order for us to get to know each other better and determine if we would be a great fit for each other in my college years.
