Nicole Burdo '13 Recruiting Profile

My name is Nicole Burdo and I am 5'6" tall; and I weigh 150lbs. I have been practicing volleyball since I was in the 2nd grade and I have been playing volleyball on a team since I was in the 5th grade. I have played in two different clubs, Force Elk Grove and Sunset Volleyball Club. There are several things I can offer a team. First, as a leader, I've learned that although I was the youngest on a team, my intensity and level of play made my teammates play harder and gain trust in me. As team captain on all of my club teams, I always led by example. Next, my level of play never goes below 110%. I am very competitive and constantly have a burning desire to win. I am the one who wants the ball when it's game/match point against us or when it matters most. I feel I can be a valuable asset to any volleyball program. Whether at practice or during actual games, no matter what the situation or score is, I work extremely hard and always at 110%. I play with equal amounts of heart, intensity, and focus at all times. Last, I have dreamt of being able to play volleyball as much and as long as I possibly can because I enjoy it so much. I strive to get better and improve my skills every year. In addition, I do not have a specific geographic region of where I would like to go to school. I am also open to different types of schools. My desired major is Business; Pre-Law. Next, my athletic goals include being able to play as a freshman, to become the best volleyball player that I can be and to play at the highest competitive level possible. I would like to play as much and as soon as I can. I would like to learn from my teammates and work to gain as much skill and experience as I possibly can.
