I started playing volleyball in sixth grade. I tried out and made the seventh grade team. As a freshman in high school I made the junior varsity team. As soon as I started practicing for tryouts in sixth grade, I knew that volleyball was my sport. I have dreamed about playing volleyball for my college since that day.
I played beach volleyball over the summer to increase my speed and vertical ability on the court. I have a strong jump float serve and a solid standing topspin serve. I am a strong passer and don’t let the ball drop. I am able to play defensive positions but prefer to play front row. I have lots of enthusiasm to cheer and bring up the team with. I am a hard worker and give one hundred percent all of the time.
I work hard on the academic side and maintain a 4.00 GPA. I also volunteer at local youth church camps. I have volunteered in local animal outreach shelters. I have volunteered with Amor and Sierra Service Project, building houses in Mexico and working construction in Arizona and Oregon.
I want to attend a college where I can prepare to pursue a post graduate degree in veterinary medicine and play volleyball. I want to perform in both areas in a way that both my family and I are proud to be a part of.
