MIDDLE BLOCKER/OUTSIDE HITTER
ANYA PEMBERTON CLASS OF 2021
I am a 14 year old, 5'11.5" student athlete in 9th Grade. My GPA is 3.9 and this past year, I've been the starting middle blocker for both my club and school teams while training weekly with Volleyball Canada Centre of Excellence program.
I have an approach touch of 9.75', a block touch of 9.25' and work hard to bring a mental toughness to my game every time I am on the court.
This past summer of 2017, I won Gold at the 14U BC Provincial Beach Volleyball Championships along with my beach partner of two years, and it was definitely one of my proudest moments in sports.
I've played for Team BC - U14 and I was selected as an MVP at the Provincial Team BC Baden Cup camp.
I am looking to play volleyball at a collegiate level, where the athletics program will challenge me while I pursue an education in the area of sciences. I am an efficient multi-tasking student and carefully balance my studies with training and volunteering in my community.
Thank you for reading my profile and considering me as a potential student-athlete.
