My name is Hannah Watkins, and I am a Middle Hitter/Opposite for the class of 2021. I have played volleyball for 3 years, and I love it more every year. When I step into the gym, I am not only trying to make myself better but also my team. I am constantly improving my game everyday, whether it’s my knowledge to the game or during practices.
For the first two years of junior high, I have been leveled up to the freshman team. I’ve started for all three years I’ve played. I have participated for the last four years in UAFS College Volleyball camps. In 2017, I was picked for the FSJ 14-1 National Volleyball Team. This was my first year of club ball for I lived in a rural area and had no information about club teams around my area. I went on to start for the first half of the season as a Middle hitter; however, for the second half I was moved to opposite. My team went on the win tournaments such as the Redlands, Delta National qualifier, MLK Kansas City tournament, and Battle of the Fort. We placed 29th overall at Nationals in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In the year 2018, I am now playing my second year of club ball on the Greenwood Velocity 15U Volleyball Team.
I am searching for the best blend of high level volleyball and challenging academics. I am an National Junior Honor Society student just completing my fall semester of my freshman year with a 3.45 GPA. I have high standards for my academics going into my spring semester. I am aiming very hard for 3.85+ GPA. I love to compete and also want to be academically challenged in the fields of Special Education, Education & Training or Physical Education. I would love to have the opportunity to grow as a volleyball player through the college level.
