Hello,
My name is Madison Wilson. I am 14 years old and will be a starting High School this year as a Freshman. I am 5'7 and my passion is Volleyball. I started sports by playing soccer for 4 years. I really enjoyed it, but wanted to try something different. I started playing Volleyball when I was 7 years old. I played Volleyball through National Youth Sports until I was 10. I really enjoyed playing Volleyball so I tried out for Zona Volleyball Club when I was 10. I made the 11 age group team. I have been with Zona Volleyball Club since. I have played on the 13 Travel Team and now the 14 TravelTeam. When I started with Zona I was a setter. This season I play Outside Hitter and Middle Back. I do love these positions and happy I get to play these and the other positions too.
While playing Volleyball I have learned that I am patient, good learner, team player and love learning the game. I have learned that you can always strive for better. I also love the team spirit as a whole. Being part of a team and the motivator gets me excited when I play. I want to continue learning, playing harder, becoming stronger and achieve success for myself and my team.
I played Volleyball each year in Middle School. In 6th grade, we won the State Championship. In 7th grade, I served an entire game by myself and winning the game. The next day I went to school, and everyone was telling me congratulations, and they heard what a great job I did. In 7th and 8th grade we went to the Championships and placed 2nd and then 3rd in 8th grade. I was also in Student Council all of Middle School. Student Council helped me also learn about responsibility, working together with all grades and making decisions for our events at school.
The USA Team and AVP players have all influenced me down to the College teams. I have many favorite players that I watch and follow. My parents and my family are big supporters. They all know my dreams of playing for a College and even out of college can be achieved with striving for being a great student getting great grades and continuing through my club team Zona.
As for myself, I love spending time with family and my friends. I also enjoy giving back to the community. I help volunteer making sandwiches for the Homeless, help with annual Fall Festival Event at a church, tutor children and participating in local Community Walks for charity.
