Personal Statement
I am an extremely dedicated, hard working 14-year- old athlete. I try to be a coaches dream, I listen to instructions and then implement them into my training. Although it is hard, I make sacrifices every week, many times passing up time with my friends, parties and other gatherings in order to be train to be the best. Aside from God, and my family, training is the most important thing to me at this point in life. I began competing in small races and in 5k's a few years ago, and ran a mile in 6:30 when I was 10 years old. That first race gave me a passion for sprinting, and I have improved every year.
2014: Jade won 7 of 10 races in the 200M and won the Silver medal at the Utah Summer Games.
2015: Jade set a Gunnison Valley Middle School record in both the 200m and the 400m and took to medals at the Utah Summer Games.
GPA: 3.8-4.0

- 2014 Gunnison Valley Youth Track Club (Youth/Hereshey)
- This club and the competitions filled the void when Hereshey Track united with USA Track and Field. Most cities in Utah now have a local track team. Jade has competed with both GV Youth Track and with USATF as an independent runner.

Training

- Jade trains 4-5 times per week year-round for 1 - 1.5 hr per session. In the winter we focus on strength training, but keep the conditioning up as well by training inside. We work all three oxygen pathways year round and have recently implemented weight training into her routine.
