When I was in the 8th grade that was one of my best years running track. That year I , along with the rest of my team, won our City Championship. Even though that felt great, I don't think I really understood how hard I would have to work until I ran summer track and I didn't make it past the first qualifying meet in any of my sprints. Through running I learned that I have more in me than I have showed before and that I can be faster if I continue to put in the work needed. I believe that being raised by two athletes really influenced me and pushed to do better in what I do.
During these next four years I would like to maintain all the things I've juggled before, playing an instrument, being an honor roll student and being involved my school events. When I go to college I would like to simply focus on my sport and my degree and see where that focus leads me. Since I play two sports and do multiple events in track as well as play different positions in volleyball, I think I would be a very versatile asset to your program.
