Bottomline, I love to run and I love to compete. I gave up soccer and basketball to pursue my goal of running for my country in the Olympics. Coaches and spectators tell me all the time I am a racer. I fell in love with running and racing when I was the anchor on my Middle School Cross Country team and went to State – I was the first female from my school to accomplish that and it is one of my proudest moments in sport to date. I continue to hold my primary school record for the mile. I picked up triathlons as a challenge when my father was deployed to Afghanistan while serving his country and finished first for my age group and since then I have not looked back – I will continue to pursue triathlons through my adult life. I am a hard working student athlete and when not in the classroom I am running, in the workout room, pool, on my bike, or in the learning center studying to continue working towards my life goals.
