I fell in love with swimming when I was only six years old. Several years later and I am still loving it but more than ever now. I practice everyday of the week except Sundays and I have doubles on Wednesdays. This type of practice schedule has helped me learn the lesson of time management. I use this to my advantage by getting all of my school work completed on time. The biggest influence in my life to get me where I am today, are my parents. They have taught me how I must work my hardest to achieve the goals I have set out for myself. Along with this they have also taught me how important my academics are. They have this rule that if my grades are not good enough, swimming will be taken away. This makes me work even harder on my school work because I will not allow my love for swimming to be taken away. They push me to be my best in the classroom and in the pool. Under no circumstances should I ever give less than the absolute best of my ability is something they have always taught me.
Throughout my time of swimming I have learned that things are not just handed to you. You must work extremely hard for every goal you want to accomplish. You can not just glide right through everything, it does not work that way. During my high school career I would like to keep my straight A's and get a 3.8-4.0 GPA. I am also going to challenge myself with new and more difficult classes. Getting involved in the school is also something I am planning to do too. During college I am still going to challenge myself with new types of classes, while keeping a high GPA. Along with those things, I am going to try and be apart of the school in anyway I can. I will also try to improve it in a bigger and better way making the atmosphere better for all of the students. I have a strong work-ethnic, a positive mind-set, and great leadership skills to make a great impact on the program and to also be a leader of your team.
