I am a 5'4" runner from Johnstown, PA and will be a part of the graduating class of 2017 at Richland High School. My junior year I decided to make the switch from softball to track and I couldn't have made a better decision.
During this season I ran the 100M, 200M, 300MH, 400 M, 4X1, and 4X4. I was the champion of the 200M at the Bedford Invitational and the champion of the 400M at the Northern Bedford Invitational. I was the 400M champion at LHAC and set a new meet record along with being a District Champion in the 400M. My time of 58.01 at Districts made me the new school record holder for the 400M as well. At Districts I also placed 2nd in the 4X4 and 3rd in the 4X1. I went to PIAA States in 3 events (400M, 4X1, and 4X4). I placed 9th in the 400M, 7th in the 4X1, and 11th in the 4X4.
I believe that I could contribute greatly at the Division I or Division II level. I find myself in the weight room or on the track/field 4-5 times each week working to improve for the next season. I am always looking for opportunities to better myself and never sell myself short. I always give 110% because if you're giving anything less there is no point in continuing. It has been a dream of mine to perform at the collegiate level for as long as I can remember and I plan to continue working hard until this dream becomes a reality.
I am looking for a school that will allow me to maximize not only my athletic potential but also provide me with substantial academic opportunities in the field of engineering. I am currently an honors student with a 4.0 GPA and after sophomore year I was ranked 7/122 in my graduating class.
