Running gives me a feel of accomplishment, makes me feel good about myself and over the years has helped me gain self-confidence. I like to push myself to do better. One of my goals is to become a better, faster runner and to continue to better my PR. Running is a love of mine just as my family is, along with my academics and friends. When I run I feel like I am on top of the world; nothing beats the feeling of winning a race or beating my PR. My goal for college is to have a coach that believes in his team and to have teammates that will run together and push each other into doing our best. I would truly enjoy running with team members, something I have missed out on over this past year. I have been training alone with advice from a long-distance Coach, this past August my coach took another career path, which has left me running without alone, I am thankful we keep in touch and he decided coach me long-distance, but at times it was difficult and other times it was lesson in self-discipline to learn how to train on my own. Running with a team/coach helps to get my adrenaline going which helped me be a better runner. At the end of a race, win or lose, I always enjoyed having a team and my coach there for support. I am a good, giving person with self-discipline, passionate about running and one that is looking for the opportunity to advance my running career in to college.
