In college I plan to achieve success as a student and an athlete. I plan to study Special Education while also competing to my full potential, pushing myself and my teammates to reach our goals in both academics and in our events on the track and on the cross country course. I have been captain since junior year and assisted the captains sophomore year. As captain I pushed all my teammates and helped lead them to success while pushing myself beyond just what the coach had planned for me by putting in extra work after practice. Not only do I push my teammates in track and cross country, I push the athletes on the Special Olympics basketball team that I am head coach of the skills team in Westmoreland County. Last year was our first year as a team and placed 2nd in the state. I look forward to proving to my college coach that I am willing to push myself to reach the goals he/she has planned for me and that I have planned for myself.
