My dream since very early childhood has been to one day become a veterinarian. My collegiate goals and aspirations are reflective of accomplishing that dream. I desire to obtain my bachelor’s degree while also participating in a successful track program and helping to support and build my teammates. I am driven to continue my studies in pursuit of a Master’s Degree and beyond to a Doctorate of Veterinary medicine.
As a top performer in the discus (current school record holder) for the Stebbins High School track team, I have been given great responsibility and opportunity to lead my peers. I have been able to provide mentorship to my juniors and peers alike, helping them to become better, making myself better and ultimately making our team better. I work hard on the field and off, maintaining a strong academic record as well as a stellar track career.
Although track is a main priority, I am also involved with multiple other extra-curricular activities; Band, Flag Corp, Winter Guard and Basketball to name a few.
What sets me apart from other recruits is that I am extremely dedicated to track and field. Practice is a priority to me and I am faithful to the commitment I have made to my team both in practice and competition. I work hard to accomplish my goals and be successful. The advice and constructive criticism of coaches and my peers is something I take seriously and I try my best to perform beyond the bar my coaches set for me. I am receptive to new coaching strategies and adapt well to changing conditions. I am open to new and exciting challenges that will make me and my team better.
