Hello, my name is Aubrey Fruchey. I will be a Senior this year at Columbus Grove High School. I am the middle child out of a my other two siblings. I compete on the school's Track and Field team, and I am a 3-year varsity letter holder, so far. Due to a torn labrum my sophomore year i was not able to compete my sophomore year and has put me a bit behind. This past year it was discovered that i had a sports hernia in my right groin. With the injuries I had inquired I am more determined then ever to make it down to state my senior year and break the school's shot put record of 39' ?",held by Dena Benroth, and hopefully the discus record of 136' ?", held by my fellow teammate, Megan Verhoff. I hope to be able to play the sport I love the most at the collegiate level. After much thought i have decided to go into the Architecture and Interior Design major. After college I plan on pursuing my love for throwing and becoming a throwing coach somewhere!
Outside of my track life, I have a passion for dance. I will be starting my 15th year of dance and love every moment of it. I volunteer my time to help teach the younger kids during the week, as wells as take up to 5 hours of dance each week.
In the classroom I like to challenge myself. I have taken two A.P classes in my high school career and plan on taking a third my Senior year. I have managed to maintain a 3.5 GPA and plan on improving this, this year. I am involved in a lot of school activities such as Homecoming committee, office aid, Student Council, Leo Club, National Honor Society, Junior Representative for National Honor Society, and this year I was elected as Vice President for the National Honor Society. I have been selected by my school to attend many leadership assemblies and I take what i learn and apply it to my everyday life.
I hope to achieve my goals I have set for myself, through hard work, preserverance, and the mindset of "play like you're in first, train like you're in second." - Fuzzy Minnix.
