I've been running since I was 8 and started running cross country for Northmont Middle School in 7th grade. I stuck with it and am now a senior at Northmont High School. I have just started my senior year and am the number five runner for the girls' cross country team. We made it to Ohio Regionals as a team last year for the first time since 2010. We have a really good team this year and we are expecting to do even better at Regionals. I have also been the team captain for the past three years. I get along with everybody and am a role model for the girls on the team.
I have wanted to run in college since my freshman year and have worked very hard to try to turn that dream into a reality. I have become very well acquainted to the schedule that high school running demands and could easily adapt to college running. As a student athlete, I have come to realize that participating in sports can actually help my grades more than anything. After practice, I know exactly how much time in the evening I have for homework and studying and get right down to it. I never settle for anything less than my best.
One major goal for college running is to become a better runner and help out my team in any way that I can.
