Sarah Rosenblum '12 Recruiting Profile

I have competed in track since first grade. I'm naturally very competitive and enjoy leadership roles on my teams.  I was elected co-captain of my 2012 high school varsity track team.  I like individual events, but also get satisfaction working with teammates on relays.  Because of my determination, I usually run the anchor leg of relays.  I like working with my coaches. I listen very well and am good at converting instructions to results on the track. My dedication to my team is very high because I want to represent myself and my team as best I can.

Since I was about 8 years old, I have been interested in marketing. When I saw commercials on TV, I would tell my dad "I can do that better."  In high school, I have straight A's in marketing and have represented my high school in local, state and international DECA Marketing competitions.  I represented my high school at DECA's International competition for the second straight year having just won 2nd place at the state championship.  As a sophomore and again as a senior, I received the Personal Commitment award from my high school's Marketing department. I have also excelled in my other classes earning a 3.34 GPA for the past five quarters, which includes 5 AP courses. During my senior year in high school, I completed a marketing internship at a local venture capital company and also worked part time at a local running store.  After high school, I will attend and run track for Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where I will pursue a dual major in Marketing and Public Relations. I want to major in Marketing because of my long time interest in that field. My interest in Public Relations comes from two places. First, my favorite subject after marketing is English. Next, I am very social and communicate well with people, especially adults. Those skills and a winning attitude form a good foundation for accomplishing my future goals.
