Amanda Famularo '13 Recruiting Profile

My name is Amanda Famularo and I love to compete and run! I am a senior in Sayville High School in N.Y.
My philosophy is continuous improvement. When I reach a goal I immediately push myself to get to the next higher level.  

My main event is the 400 hurdles. Last year as a junior I ran the 400 hurdles with a time of 64.5.  In my freshman year I was ranked #1 in New York State and #3 Nationally for freshman's in the 400 hurdles.
I recently competed in the Nationals in North Carolina. My gaol this year is to run the 400 hurdles sub 63.0. 

This past seaon I also ran 26.5 - 200 meter, 12.7 - 100 meter, and 59.2 in the 400 meter (relay splt). This past winter I ran 60.4  400 meters indoor which is now the Sayville High School record. 

I am the Captain of our High School Varsity Track team for the second year in a row and take it very seriously by listening to others and leading by example. Last year our team finished in First Place with an undefeated record. 

Running is my passion and I look forward to competing on the college level.
