~~Over the last few years, I have had many opportunities to explore what I want to do with my future. My overall goal is to get a degree in Environmental Science with a minor in Marine Biology and then establish a career in the area of marine disaster response and cleanup. While in college I hope to have the opportunity to be a part of groups or clubs which help the community, the people within the community, and the college I attend.
Having had the chance to run on varsity track since I was in the eighth grade, I would love to keep running at the college level. Within my track experiences, I have always strived to lower my times, improve my jumps, and work hard at every practice. To improve means making more time to practice, either with: the team, my coaches, or on my own. When learning something new, I ask questions and take the instructions given to me to achieve the overall goal: improving my personal best. I give 100% every time I step out onto the track.
I am a member of the J.R.O.T.C. program and the National Honor Society. Being able to work with others and be in leadership roles is why I have been successful in both groups. Being in J.R.O.T.C. has taught me how to lead as well as when to let others have the chance to lead. With everything I do, I strive for the best I can be.
