My name is Grace Bugara and I am a junior at Walter Panas High School. I run for the Lakeland/Panas Rebels in Shrub Oak, NY. I started running for the modified cross country team in 8th grade, and began running for the varsity track team that winter. Since then, I have improved my times significantly, qualifying and competing in New Balance Nationals Indoors and Outdoors 2 years, winter states 2014, NYSPHSAA Championships in cross country 2015, and Federations in cross country in 2015. I have a 4.0 GPA while in honors and AP classes and plan to major in the science or law fields. When searching for colleges, I look for strong academic credentials with a variety of majors to get the best possible education and for a team that will challenge and push me to be better. I work very hard at practice and put in the time at home to improve and stay healthy. I am able to work independently to push myself as well as collaborate well with a team.
