My name is Alicia Bousa. I am 17 years old and a senior in high schoool. I have been running Varsity track since the 7th grade. During my Freshman year of high school, I was on Colonie's 4x400MR team. In outdoor we competed at the Penn Relays. My team and I won our heat of the 4x400MR. We placed 29th in the world. During my Sophomore year of high school, my 4x400MR team made in to the Indoor State meet. My teammates and I are now state champions. During my Sophomore year, I was also part of my schools SMR team. We now hold the school record at 4:13.8. During my Junior year, my 4x400MR team placed 4th in the state at the Indoor State meet. My 4x400MR team also placed first in the Outdoor State meet.
Whenever I am at practice or on the track to compete, I always give 100%. I try my best to get comfortable being uncomfortable. If you don't allow yourself to get uncomfortable, you will have a harder time being able to succeed. I also never allow myself to give up. If you give up, you will not make it anywhere. I would like to run track in college. It has always been a big dream of mine. Ever since 7th grade, track has been my life. I've dedicated all of my time to my school work and running track.
I am open to looking at all different types of schools. I would like to fit in well and have a good spot on the track team. I am still unsure of what I would like to major in. I have not narrowed it down yet.
One of my biggest goals are to go to an amazing school that is right for me. I want to run and be a part of the team. I would also like to get A's in school. That is the most important part.
