Not until the beginning of my sophomore year in high school did track and field become a reality for me. My collegiate goals and aspirations is to go to a well rounded school with a great educational program, become a better runner and grow as a person. I believe that track and field is as much of a mental sport as it is physical. What makes me differ from other recruits is that I work hard for what I want, I am a positive person, I am always willing to help those in need, and running brings me joy. Yes, track and field is an individual sport, but we are also a team. You are only as strong as your weakest link. Being able to connect with your teammates will bring growth to yourself and your team. Academically I may not be the smartest in the room, but I am always willing to put forth my best effort. No matter how much I feel defeated, in some way, I will defeat the problem.
