Taylor Irby '11 Recruiting Profile

Track and field is my passion, and I would love the opportunity to compete at the college level. I am an extremely competitive, Type A personality contained in a 5'8", 125 pound body. My GPA is 4.0 on a 4.0 scale. High jump is my best track and field event, and my PR is 5'4 1/2". I was the North AAA High Jump Champion for both the varsity and the junior varsity teams as a freshman, and I won back to back Overall AAA State High Jump Championships my junior and senior years.  I was also a member of the 4x100, 4x200, and 4x400 relay teams which all finished second at the 2011 Overall AAA State meet.  I competed in high jump at the 2008, 2009, and 2010 AAU Junior Olympics.  I would love the chance to work with experienced college coaches who can help me reach my full potential.  I am looking for a college with a strong academic program that offers various health-related majors.  I will graduate in 2011 from Jackson Academy in Jackson, Mississippi, and I would like to stay in the South, but other than that, I am open to all options.
