Madolyn Palodichuk '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Maddy Palodichuk and I am a Senior at Heritage Christian Academy in Olathe, KS.  Prior to this year, I was a homeschool student running for Christ Preparatory Academy in Lenexa, KS.  I am a sprinter with a primary focus on the 400m (58.49).  I finished 13th this year at the KU Relays in the 400m.  Although my times would have qualified for the Kansas State High School Meet, I was unable to participate due to KSHSAA rules regarding homeschoolers.  I have been a member of the KC Flyers Track Club (Coaches Ken Ferguson and Dwane Pierre) for the last three years and will continue to train with the Flyers this year.  As a member of the Flyers I participated in several elite invitational meets, including the Arkansas Indoor High School Invitational and the University of Kentucky Indoor High School Invitational.  This summer I qualified in the 400m for the USATF National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships in Jacksonville, FL.  I am extremely dedicated and very coachable.  I have spent countless hours with my coaches working on form and execution.  I subscribe to their philosophy that success is a process and not a destination.
This upcoming year I will continue to strive for excellence both on and off the track.  Despite the adjustment that comes from attending a new school, my objective is to improve on my 3.75 GPA.  As I have year after year, I will continue improving my 400m and 200m times throughout the indoor and outdoor seasons.  I am looking forward to competing at and hopefully winning the State Meet for the first time this year.
I am excited about the opportunity to run track in college.  I want to compete at the highest level and help my team win conference championships and qualify for nationals. I expect to be competitive and build on the success I have had at the high school level.  I know this will only come through dedication and hard work and I am committed to making it happen.  I am looking for a school that shares my ambition, both athletically and academically.
