I'm going to be a junior in high school , and ever since freshman year I have been on varsity track and field. I have been doing track and field for 4 years now, I started in 7th grade and i'm planning on going all the way. I enjoy track so much because it's a way for me to express my talent and it's something i'm also good at . My freshman year was the first year I actually started doing hurdles, I never thought i'll be able to get over them ! My coach made me do hurdles because at that time we didn't have anyone in that event. Ever since then I have been very successful in that event. During my sohopmore year I made it to state in all 3 of my main events , such as the 100 hurdles , 300 hurdles and 200m dash! It was such a great accomplishment at that young age. That wasn't the only acomplishment I have recieved , I was always in the daily herald because of my outstanding performance ,I was the conference champion in all 3 of my events as well , and I recieved the award as the Most vauable Player (MVP). With this being said I have reached so many goals and acomplishment in just 2 years of being in highschool , and I feel that I could continue to reach more goals! i'm looking foward to going on past high school and competing at a college level ! Not only am I a great athelete but i'm a great student as well , I carry a 3.2 GPA and i have been on the high honor roll in all my years I have been in highschool. I'm such a great role model and many people look up to me, because i have great leadership qualities. I'm apart of a club called U.N.I.T.Y , which is for young African American girls. I'm a mentor and my job is to help these girls acheive in school and out of school , and make better choices in life. I'm also a student ambassdor which is another leadership program. My dream is to go to any college that would accept me for both academic and track and field.
