Hi, I'm Kaitlyn Hammock. I'm about 5'7'', 130 lbs, and a top sprinter for my high school's track team. My 40M time is number 1 in the school at a 4.83 my sophomore year. I love the sport and hope to continue running long after high school is over, and in the future, I plan on getting into the medical profession. I'm definitely a leader on the team, and very competitive. I'm very outgoing and people love being around me. My team and I always have a great time wherever we go. My coaches love my dedication and consistency with never missing a practice or a meet. My GPA is a 4.3 and I'm in all honors classes. I try my best in the classroom and out on the track. My relay teams, the 4x100 and the 4x200, have made it down state all 3 years that I've been running at Romeoville High School. I've gotten the all-conference athletic award 5 times, and have been running for 6 years(3 years in middle school and 3 in high school. All 6 years qualifying for state.) This year, i placed 6th in state in the 4x200 relay anchoring my school record breaking team with a time of 1.42.3 seconds. I've played softball for the Woodridge Wildcats travel team for 6 years now, so I know what it's like to be a part of a team all working towards the same goal. There's a reason why I've picked track over softball in high school; because I love to run. Qualifying for state this year, I had the biggest smile on my face knowing I helped out in getting one step closer to the dreams of mine, and my other 3 relay team members. I don't mind how big a school or what division, as long as I'm running, and somewhat close to my parents, who support me so much. I hope to continue my success in my next two years of high school and prepare myself for college. Thank you.
