My name is Aaliah Herron and I am 17 years old. I started sports at a very young age. In elementary school I was a cheerleader and also played basketball. I graduated elementary school top of my class. As I entered middle school I decided to play 3 sports and participated in band. The sports were basketball, volleyball, and track. I played basketball and volleyball for 2 years and track for all 3 years. The only reason why I could not participate in basketball and volleyball for the three years of middle school was because I injured my right shoulder but doctors could not figure out how until I reached high school. Yet i ended middle school being a 2 year IESA State Track and Field Champion. My 9th grade year I had surgery on my shoulder and decided to continue Track. I have always been head varsity thrower at East Saint Louis Senior High. I am very dedicated to being a thrower. I love it to death!! I plan on taking this journey through college doing track and to also make it to the Olympics. My dream is to be the best female thrower in the world and I will not let a injury nor person tell me otherwise. All Gas! No Breaks! is my motto and I am sticking to it!!
