Taylor Schaub '12 Recruiting Profile

I was an All-Conference Pole Vaulter in 2010. I recently placed 1st in the 2011 MSC Indoor Conference for High Jump and finished 3rd in Pole Vaulting. I believe in cooperation by all members of the team to be successful, even if some individuals participate in solo events. I also believe that being a leader is important. Being one of the captains of the track team this year, I feel it is important that I can set examples for others on the team and hopefully inspire them to push themselves towards personal goals. I have been captain of the Varsity Dance team as well, so I have some experience being a leader. As well as being an effective leader, I can take instruction and criticism as a means to work myself at improving. I am open to almost any school that can provide me with the tools to obtain a degree in Architecture, as well as one that is in my family's financial budget. I am not in search of a particular type of school; I am interested in exploring the different types of colleges that are available to me and taking full advantage of the opportunities that are provided. My athletic goals are to compete with others on or above the same level as me to improve my skills. I am open to improving myself and extending my goals higher. I try to work one step at a time towards self-improvement and hope that it can take me to larger goals, such as competing on a higher level or becoming an important figure at the school I attend. My athletic goals are to gain experience by playing a college-level sport and enjoy myself competing and learning at a level that is practical yet exhilarating. I look forward to my complete college experience.
