Hello, my name is Caleigh Walsh and I just completed Junior year as of May, 2015. I started my athletic career with the ALITHSA Arsenal soccer club for 7 years and then competed as a gymnast for 8 years reaching Level 8 status. During 7th grade, I participated in long jump and other events such as the 200 & 400 at Westfield middle school. My competitive events include long jump, 300 low hurdles, 4 x 400M relay for track and field at Jacobs High School in Algonquin, IL. I would like to increase my distance and develop my techniques in the long jump. For the hurdles, I want to work on my technique and achieve new personal goals. I have taken several honors classes including all the core courses in my first three years of high school. I just completed AP Biology in May, 2015. This was one of my favorite classes that I ever took. I would like to attend a college with a good Environmental Conservation concentration program along with a solid track program so I can obtain my goals in both academics and athletics. Goals for next year (2016) include placing higher in STATE for long jump and qualifying for 300M low hurdles. Also, I would like to break two records at Jacobs HS (Algonquin) for long jump (17' 10") and for 300 low hurdles (46.8). Personal goals include jumping over 18' in LJ and breaking 46.8 in 300 low hurdles along with qualifying for state next season in both events.
