Tatyana Jones '16 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goals are to enter college with an academic and athletic scholarship. I also want to continue running track while majoring in Pre-Med, and pursuing minors in Criminal Justice and Music. I set my goals to a high standard which pushes me to work harder. I believe that anything can be accomplished through my faith, hard work, and passion. What makes me different from other recruits in character is my leadership skills and drive. I love to encourage and help other athletes reach their highest potential while also being taught on how to better myself. Track has been in my life since I was young, it was always an outlet for me and has helped mold me into the person I am today. When it comes to academics, they are my first priority over everything else. I am a strong believer that academics should always come before a sport no matter what the circumstances, because I am a student athlete and therefore the athlete portion is a privilege not an obligation.
