I have been working very hard my entire life to maintain high grades while competing in sports. I try to be as academically competitive as I can, for I have chosen to do the International Bachelorette program. I have a weighted GPA of 4.78 (unweighted 4.0), and I will continue to strive for excellence. Whatever college I chose, academics is my number one priority, and I must always be challenged.
When it comes to athletics, again, I would desire to attend a competitive school, as well. I did not realize my passion for running until freshman year, but when I first came to track practice, I knew that it was what I was meant to do. My freshman track season went better than I expected. I had the opportunity to run the 400m at districts and made it to regionals with the 4x400m team in one of the toughest districts/regions in the state. After that year, I was definitely committed to improving myself as a runner and athlete, so I decided to pursue cross country, as well. I was part of the all-conference honorable mention team, ran in the district meet, and I was the first alternate at the regional and state meets for my team. I am excited to continue to grow and display the potential I have as a runner. Therefore, I strongly desire to attend a school that provides me with both an aggressive athletic and academic program.
