2013 HighlightsPersonal Statement
After playing school and premier soccer throughout middle school and in my freshman and sophomore years of high school, I decided to devote myself entirely to running for the first time in 2013. It has been a great decision. I love the fact that you get out of running what you put into it; the harder you work, the better you get. In my first cross country season at Rockville High School this past fall, I broke two school records for the 5K, turning in two times under 18:43. As a sophomore, I broke the Rockville record for the 1,600 meters. Because I am so new to the sport, I feel I am just beginning to scratch my potential as a runner. In college, I want to continue to set and achieve new goals at a school that will challenge me as a student and an athlete.
